SEO Beginner’s mini-toolkit

If you're new here, you should subscribe to my RSS feed and also get yourself on my mailing list. Thanks for visiting!

I decided to put this ‘toolkit’ together from some of the things I’ve learned.

3 websites to visit and 3 tips to keep in mind.

1. Four SEO experts talk shop in this “Where do I start?” video. Watch here first-

2. Plug in your site/blog URL into this tool to see how a search engine spider sees any website. This is a great way to see your site as they do, as well as to enter other sites in your niche to analyze their site weaknesses and consider how you can improve on your own.

3. Use this Keyword Difficulty Check Tool to see how difficult it would be to rank for specific keywords or keyword phrases. This tool issues a percentage score that indicates how difficult it would be to rank on the first page for this term; higher percentages mean greater difficulty.

-and here’s 3 things to keep in mind:

1. Become an authority in your niche and the search engines will love you. This means everything you do should be geared towards, or with an eye to this goal.

2. Content is king. Specifically self-generated content that is relevant to your niche, delivered daily if possible. Search engines love regularly updated, organic sites.

3. Remember that social networking is the way of the future with regards to SEO and driving traffic to your sites.

Hope this helps.
